On course completion, students would have:
• Learned some applicable methods for solving different kinds of equation systems, non-linear optimization problems as well as techniques for approximating functions using simpler functions, like trigonometric and polynomials functions.
• Learned vital mathematical methods to solving real-life problems, including interpretation and analysis of the results and understanding of the importance of reproducibility.
• Learned various limitation skills of the various mathematical approximations, and the consequence of computer approximation errors
Prerequisites: A fundamental knowledge of college-level mathematics (usually calculus and linear algebra), and a proficiency in basic programming level
